ABOUT
"Listening, learning, evolving through conversation daily."
My name is Kellie Keating, and I am currently completing my final semester at Indiana University of Indianapolis, majoring in Communication Studies with a minor in Classical Studies. My academic journey has been dedicated to mastering the art of effective communication while exploring the histories and cultures of the ancient world. This interdisciplinary focus has equipped me with strong critical thinking, storytelling, and analytical skills, alongside a deep appreciation for how historical narratives influence modern communication.
Outside of my studies, I’ve spent three seasons working in Glacier National Park, where I connected with diverse audiences, shared compelling stories, and developed adaptability and leadership in dynamic, team-driven environments. These experiences reinforced my passion for fostering meaningful connections and inspiring curiosity. I am excited to leverage my communication expertise and cultural insight in a career that emphasizes storytelling, collaboration, and discovery.

Visual & Digital Communication
Crafting Engaging Visual & Digital Communication
Communication isn’t just about words—it’s also about how information is presented. Through visual and digital media, I’ve learned to create messages that are clear, engaging, and impactful. Whether designing an infographic, crafting a presentation, or developing digital content, my ability to blend visuals with effective messaging enhances understanding and connection—an essential skill in today’s communication-driven world.

I have included infographics that I created for both academic and professional settings, showcasing my ability to present information in a clear and engaging way. These visuals demonstrate how I can distill complex ideas into easily digestible formats, whether for classroom presentations, workplace communication, or digital content creation. Through these projects, I have strengthened my skills in design, audience engagement, and effective messaging.

Digital Education Through Social Media
For our capstone project, my team and I created an Instagram account called @iuicyberai to provide practical, student-friendly content on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. The goal was to make tech topics more approachable and help students protect themselves online while navigating modern digital tools. Our mission was to educate college students about AI and cybersecurity in a way that was visually engaging, easy to understand, and relevant to their everyday lives.

Throughout the project, I played an active role in both the research and creative process. I helped curate weekly content topics that felt relevant to our peers, such as password security, how to spot phishing scams, and how to use tools like ChatGPT responsibly. I wrote captions that broke down technical information into everyday language, making sure our posts were easy to follow and approachable. I also contributed to the visual design of our posts, helping maintain a consistent and engaging look across the account. In team meetings, I collaborated on our posting schedule, brainstormed new content ideas, and worked to ensure our goals stayed student-centered.
